Street harassment is an omnipresent yet often minimized issue. To raise awareness, Marianne Paris and Publicis Conseil designed a powerful campaign for Ni Putes Ni Soumises: a full-scale, hidden camera immersion placing a man in a woman’s skin.
After a rigorous casting process, Antoine, a 23-year-old actor, was chosen to undergo this unprecedented experience. Hours of makeup and transformation allowed him to blend into the crowd, walking alone, without a script, fully exposed to the genuine reactions of passersby. Catcalls, lingering stares, intrusive comments… a brutal reality captured with raw authenticity.
But the experience didn’t stop on the streets. Antoine was also given a dating app profile.
With over 30 million views and viral international reach, #InOurShoes delivers an objective and undeniable portrayal of everyday harassment. This campaign was designed as an eye-opener, forcing men to acknowledge what women endure daily.

The technical challenge was significant: placing discreet cameras in an urban setting while ensuring a natural and authentic rendering. The filming team had to adapt in real-time, capturing every interaction without interfering in the experience. The absence of a script allowed for a raw, unfiltered revelation of the intensity of street harassment, from the first intrusive glance to inappropriate comments.
